Alignment Based Fitness
Functional movement practice is paramount in correcting bodily imbalances. Hands on bodywork combined with proper guidance to maintain the structural improvements, is undoubtedly the most impactful and long lasting means of balancing the body and mind.
- Improve coordination
- Strengthen joints and bones
- Develop integrity in connective tissue
- Learn how to “pre-hab”
- Become “functionally fit”
It is crucial to recognize our body and mind is a forming anew all the time. The dilemma, we are never taught in school what exactly is functional movement? What is the bio-mechanically most effective way to sit, stand, walk, run and everything in between. These movements compound and form our physical structure which influence how we feel. Alignment based fitness teaches how to make every activity therapeutic so our bodies will run efficiently for the rest of our lives.
I give people tools and guide how to use them effectively; it’s up to the individual what to do with them after that. Alignment based fitness is learning how to fish instead of blindly being fed each session and going hungry the rest of the week.
"After a traumatic leg injury, Aaron helped me reverse that trend and get back on the right road. It’s difficult to understand how rough your ride is until you find that smooth road through life again."
− Gerry Lopez, Surfing Legend
"Aaron has impressed me with his knowledge of body function, complicated skeletal intricacies and kinesiology. I knew I needed help to unravel the spaces in my body that were now gripped by bad habits from crutches, canes, casts, limping, cramping, painkillers, and muscle atrophy. Aaron challenged my old methods of movement, changed my critical self-talk, created short and long term exercise goals, and used physical adjustments (and laughter) so I would embrace healing while restoring strength. His work and words resonate with me between every session!"

"Aaron is phenomenal! He has an impressively extensive knowledge base in the field of Rolfing and the correlations between connective tissue, emotions and neuroplasticity of the brain. His skill, intuition and gifted touch helped to quickly alleviate a severe shoulder pain I was suffering from. I felt like he truly cared for my well being. I have over many years received several forms of structural bodywork and massage from countless therapists. Aaron is one of the best I have ever come across. When you receive sessions from him you are in “good hands”. Thank you, Aaron!"
