How to Prevent Back Pain With Flow

By October 21, 2014 Blog 2 Comments

Too many of us are stuck in doing the “same old” linear exercise routine and it is time to change things up. We need to recognize that our bodies are fluid systems which crave complexity. When we simplify our movement down to basic linear movements like a bicep curl or a tricep extension: we are dumbing down our human potential. Human beings are the ultimate generalists of movement and it is pertinent we explore our full range of motion with support on a regular basis or else we will lose kinesthetic sophistication. We are continually in a state of progression or digression. Let’s make a conscious decision to be on the positive side of this reality.

Human beings are built to play and move with fluidity and ease. Unfortunately, our modern day environment is so basic we are losing our natural ability to express our full brilliant potential. Let’s start implementing “flow” into our work-outs to get back to our roots of naturally therapeutic movement. By maintaining support and integrity in your whole body through a variety of ranges, we are creating strength and flexibility which will apply to every aspect of life instead of keeping us confined to the gym.

Fraida,I also just started wokrnig with a 6 mo old girl with left torticollis. The family has been doing stretching since 1 mo and now began strengthening ex. The torticollis seems to be very persistant! I am wondering about using kinesio tape on the uninvolved side trying to encourage more right side scm activity. What tape techniques would you recommend, which side did you tape, what was the most effective, etc? Also, do you know of a good pediatric taping course? Sorry, more questions for your question . I have not found many to use surgery here in Boston. Seemed to be a common procedure around the cleveland clinic where Karen carmel Ross is located. Her course is excellent.
